Epic Orders Analyst

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: Short-term contract (6 months, with potential extension)

Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM day shift, with rotating prime and non-prime call

Position Overview

The Business Systems Analyst will join the client team to support clinical systems modernization in a fully remote capacity.

As a senior member of the Core Clinical Orders Sub-Domain team, consisting of 12 15 team members, the analyst will serve as a subject matter expert in technical configuration, integrations, and Epic systems.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into effective system changes, leveraging modern technologies and digital tools to address complex clinical workflow challenges.

Qualifications

• Current Epic certification or proficiency in Orders, Order Transmittal, Order Sets, and/or ICON, with 3+ years of experience.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in business systems analysis or a related technical role within the healthcare industry.
• 3+ years of hands-on technical experience working with Epic in a technical build role.
• Strong communication and analytical skills, with a proven track record of presenting system prototypes and functional models to business users.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, modify, test, and administer complex business systems and applications, specializing in Epic environments.
• Analyze business and user needs to deliver appropriate technical solutions from concept through completion.
• Design screens, workflows, reports, and interfaces, and prepare functional and technical specifications for system changes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and application issues, including user-reported and vendor-reported incidents.
• Help manage service incidents and requests, serving as a subject matter expert in technical configurations and integrations.
• Lead meetings and facilitate team problem-solving sessions, collaborating across teams and capability sub-domains.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for external vendors and resolve vendor-related technical challenges.

Interview Process

Up to 2 rounds of video interviews covering technical knowledge and previous project experience.
