POSITION: Snow Removal Operator (Hourly Snowbird) – Public Works Department SALARY: $23 per hour depending on qualifications. Must have a Valid Driver's License. JOB SUMMARY: The Village of Broadview Public Works Department is seeking candidates for a Snow Removal Operators (Snowbird) position in the Public Works Department. This position covers temporary, cold-weather seasonal work focused on snow and ice removal. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDING, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Snow & Ice Removal: Clear sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, or roadwaysand plows. Deicing: Spread salt on walkways and roads to prevent slipping. Equipment Maintenance: Clean, wash, and perform basic maintenance ontrucks, plows, and hand tools. General Labor: Perform secondary off-season tasks when it is not snowing,such as landscaping cleanup, or road patching The Snow Removal Operators (Hourly Snowbird) position runs from November 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027. Other task may be performed as part of the Public Works Department’s routine work related to the department needs. The hours for this position vary but will not exceed 30 hours per week.
